These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Anchor Point's website and educational services. By accessing our website, enrolling in our courses, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

2. Definitions

  • "We," "Us," "Our," or "Anchor Point" refers to Anchor Point, the provider of financial education services
  • "You" or "Participant" refers to individuals using our website or enrolled in our courses
  • "Services" refers to our educational courses, website, materials, and related offerings
  • "Content" refers to all materials, information, and resources provided through our services

3. Eligibility

To enroll in our courses, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Course Enrollment and Registration

4.1 Registration Process

Course enrollment requires completion of our registration form and payment of applicable fees. Registration is complete upon our confirmation of enrollment, which we typically send within 2 business days of receiving payment.

4.2 Class Capacity

Courses have limited enrollment to maintain quality education. We accept participants on a first-come, first-served basis. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule courses if minimum enrollment is not met.

4.3 Prerequisites

While our courses are designed for different knowledge levels, participants are responsible for ensuring they enroll in courses appropriate to their current understanding and goals.

5. Fees and Payment

5.1 Course Fees

Current course fees are displayed on our website and are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD). All fees are inclusive of GST where applicable.

5.2 Payment Terms

Payment is due in full at the time of enrollment unless alternative arrangements have been made in writing. We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card, or other methods specified during registration.

5.3 Refund Policy

Refund requests must be submitted in writing:

  • More than 14 days before course start: Full refund minus SGD 50 administrative fee
  • 7-14 days before course start: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days before course start: No refund
  • After course commencement: No refund

If we cancel a course, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another course session.

6. Course Delivery and Participation

6.1 Course Format

Courses are delivered as specified in course descriptions. We reserve the right to modify course schedules, venues, or formats with reasonable notice to participants.

6.2 Attendance

Regular attendance is expected. While we understand occasional absences occur, participants are responsible for catching up on missed content. We do not provide makeup sessions for individual absences.

6.3 Participant Conduct

Participants must:

  • Treat instructors and other participants with respect
  • Arrive on time for sessions
  • Refrain from disruptive behavior
  • Maintain confidentiality of other participants' financial information shared during courses

We reserve the right to remove participants who violate these standards without refund.

7. Educational Content and Materials

7.1 Intellectual Property

All course materials, content, and intellectual property remain the exclusive property of Anchor Point. Participants receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use course materials solely for personal educational purposes.

7.2 Prohibited Uses

Participants may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or sell course materials
  • Use materials for commercial purposes
  • Modify or create derivative works from our content
  • Share login credentials or course access with non-enrolled individuals

8. Educational Nature and Disclaimers

8.1 Educational Purpose

Our courses provide general financial education. They do not constitute professional financial advice, investment recommendations, tax guidance, or legal counsel specific to your individual circumstances.

8.2 No Guarantees

We make no representations or warranties regarding:

  • Specific financial outcomes or results
  • Investment performance
  • Suitability of any particular financial strategy for your situation
  • Completeness or accuracy of third-party information referenced

8.3 Professional Advice

Participants should consult qualified financial advisors, tax professionals, and legal counsel regarding their specific situations before making financial decisions.

We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. By using our services, you consent to such processing.

Financial information shared during courses remains confidential and is not shared with other participants or third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability for any claims arising from our services shall not exceed the fees you paid for the relevant course
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages
  • We are not responsible for financial decisions made based on course content
  • We are not liable for technical issues, service interruptions, or data loss beyond our reasonable control

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anchor Point, its instructors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of our services.

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or technical failures. In such cases, we will reschedule courses or offer alternative arrangements.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13.2 Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes:

  • Parties agree to first attempt informal resolution through good faith negotiation
  • If unresolved after 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to mediation in Singapore
  • If mediation fails, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Singapore courts

14. Changes to Services and Terms

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue any aspect of our services
  • Update course content, materials, and curricula
  • Change pricing for future course sessions
  • Modify these Terms at any time
